Harry Potter; most believe this to be a children’s book. Those who believe that have obviously never picked one up! JK Rowling’s target Audience were adult’s. Book one flew to popularity in the eye’s of children. However as the series progressed, the stories got much darker. Focusing on issues such as racism, war and even death.
The Back story: Tom Marvolo Riddle, also known as Voldemort grew an army while in Hogwarts, later they would be known as Death Eaters. Voldemort wanted to take over the magical world, in his ancestor Slytherin’s name. Teaching only those with the “truest” blood, and being cruel to Muggles and “Mudbloods”. Albus Dumbledore grew an army too, The Order of The Phoenix. Which fought the Death Eater’s for many years. Severus Snape over heard a prophecy given to Professor Dumbledore, by professor Trelawney about a child whom would be born in July, the only won with powers who could destroy Lord Voldemort forever. Snape take’s this information to Voldemort, but at the highest price.
Voldemort rushes into the home of Lily and James Potter one dark Halloween. Killing them both in attempt to kill their son. Lily however thwarted his plan, by giving her life for her son’s Voldemort failed, by doing so she passed on the only magic Voldemort could never understand…the ability to love. Voldemort disappears for years.
Eleven years later, raised by muggles knowing nothing of his dark past, or the fact that he and his lightening bolt scar are famous and in history books. Harry Potter returns to the magical world, beginning his training at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is here Harry meets his true family, The Weasley’s and Hermione Granger. His Friendship with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger forms a bond that ties them to the same destiny. From year one through six, they are guided by their Mentor Albus Dumbledore, learning the mysteries of the past, and the mission of their future.
While in school Harry collects his own follower’s Dumbledore’s Army. Which includes the Weasleys, Hermione, and many children of members of the order of the phoenix, like Neville Longbottom, whose parents were tortured to insanity by Death Eater’s.
Harry also makes friends with Magical creatures such as house elves who were never given much kind treatment from Wizards.
The whole story line is based on the feud between the pure bloods and mudbloods and blood traitors. As Voldemort rises again, deaths spring up, such as Cedric Diggory, Barty Crouch, Sirius Black(Harry’s god father) and Albus Dumbledore.
In seventh Year, Harry, Ron and Hermione must leave Hogwarts to complete their mission…find and destroy seven magical objects known as Horcruxes. A container which holds a portion of Voldemort’s soul.
It complicates things seeings how they are on the run. Harry is Undersirable Number 1 and Hermione is a Mudblood in hiding.
Together with the aid of The Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore’s Army, they must fight to protect Hogwarts, find the last two Horcruxes, and stay alive.
This movie will be the saddest. There are ten characters deaths with in it’s pages. The first two only a few chapters in, the rest scattered through out until of course the final battle where either Harry Potter, Voldemort or both must die.
