Night at the Museum: Don’t Go and Watch It

0

Whatever you do, don’t go and watch this film unless you don’t mind spending the whole time enjoying yourself!

This has got to be the best film that I have seen in a long time. I took my young son with me and he also said that it was “absolutely brilliant” and I have to say he is in no way easily pleased. A typical youngster!

The film has a well known cast including Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais (as the museum boss) and Ben Stiller to name but a few. I simply could not stop laughing at Ricky Gervais although I felt I was sometimes laughing alone, maybe the other cinema-goers did not have my odd sense of humour or maybe some were too young to fully appreciate his kind of dry humour.

It all starts when this guy decides that he needs a more stable career so he takes on a job as a security guard in The Natural History museum in London. Little did he know that at night the museum comes to life and suddenly he is fending off dinosaurs and suchlike. It was really interesting and kept me glued for the duration of the film. It was also a little sentimental at the end, as these films usually are. It all ends happily.

Makes a real change from the usual animated films that I have to endure when the kids want to go to the cinema. I’m not going to say too much more about this film as I will totally give the game away, but you have to see it. I also learnt a little bit more about history into the bargain.

Don`t miss this one – well worth the entrance fee!
