It has been 8 years since Matt Damon played Jason Bourne. Now, that the “Bourne 5” movie is a go, a lot of information has surfaced. So, here are some of the top spoilers about the movie.
Matt Damon isn’t the only original cast members to return. Even Julia Stiles, who played his former contact, will make a comeback. There are some new characters on the block. According toCheat Sheet, Alicia Vikander is the new female lead in “Bourne 5.”
Tommy Lee Jones has also joined the cast, possibly as a CIA officer. Others includes Scott Shepherd as CIA tech guy and Ato Essandoh whose role in still unknown.
The villain will be played by Vincent Cassel. According to Variety, he will be an assassin. Cassel and Damon have previously worked in “Ocean’s 12.”
There isn’t much information regarding the plot. However, Matt Damon did reveal some details in an interview with Buzzfeed. “Without giving too much of it away, it’s Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world. It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy.”
Also, MNG had reported that Matt Damon told the New York Daily that Jason Bourne finally has his memory back. “[Bourne] has his memory back, but that doesn’t mean he knows everything. It’s 12 years since Jason Bourne has been on the grid. So we have to answer the questions, Where’s he been? What’s he doing? What gets him going again? So once we solved all that, then we had a movie.”
“Bourne 5” will be released on July 29, 2016.
